Original Item: Acquired directly from a veterans family, this is a wonderful M42 Single decal Luftwaffe helmet with original paint, decal, liner, and split pins/washers.
The exterior exhibits a light amount of wear, with approximately 90% of the factory paint remaining. The authentic and original Luftwaffe droop tail decal is in very good condition showing detail with about 90% still remaining. Shell in maker stamped and size stamped 68 along with batch number 2772. Tight fitting liner system is 100% original to the helmet. All three untouched split pin rivet fasteners are intact and complete with all three slotted washers. The leather liner fully pliable, undamaged and has that nice original cream coffee color. Liner is maker marked and stamped both size 59 and 60. Drawstring still present!
Overall a very good condition condition single decal Luftwaffe helmet in a very rare large size.
